Now in our thirteenth year of trading, I felt it was important to share what I set out to do back in 2007 when I originally set up the studio. It was important to me to create a company that really listened and supported our people, clients and the community around us.
It is up to us in the creative industries to gently guide clients when they set a brief, so that they always get the best outcomes. We also need to provide workplaces that develop the next generation in a sustainable way, workplaces in which people are treated as humans and not pure resources. In a deadline-focused industry, it is vital to celebrate milestones as a team.

FOCUS ON THE CLIENT EXPERIENCE
Delivering a campaign can be challenging for clients and we look after them every step of the way. It was important to me that we were not a Warhol-style production line, churning out projects from a brief with minimal interaction with clients.
We help clients stretch their budgets, understand the animation process and we love celebrating successful outcomes with them too.
DEVELOP OUR CREATIVE TEAM
Our studio processes are designed to mentor and help the team realise their creative potential and client goals while having fun. We have generalists and specialists and each project presents a new challenge and different varieties of skill sets to involve. That is the beauty of working in animation: there is so much choice in terms of language; voiceover; style; materials and design.
SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY
We are based in Margate, which houses some of the most deprived areas of the UK. In the last twelve months alone we have supported local and national charities including The Garden Gate Project, Thanet Winter Shelter and Macmillan Cancer Support withcreative workshops and fundraising.
We also encourage people to become passionate about animation. Over the last ten years we have made over 400 films with young people and for four years ran an animation festival, Anifest, which featured national and international award-winning guests.
NUTURE LOCAL TALENT
Finding natural talent and evolving skills is embedded into our business strategy. We have an intern programme with local colleges and use Kent-based creatives where possible. An expensive London housing market means many creatives have moved to Margate and we’re lucky to have many skilled artists living in the local area.
