The Old Laundry, Margate

We would like to thank everyone who came to our charity event on Friday evening.  We opened our doors to our friends and neighbours at 6pm on Friday 1st December, that was in true A+C style perfectly timed with the opening of the Thanet Winter Shelter, due to run for 13 weeks through until February 2018.

The Thanet Winter Shelter exists to provide a range of welfare and accommodation services for rough sleeping homeless people across Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs. Being a creative studio situated in the heart of Margate, we felt very passionate about supporting this amazing local charity at this time of year.

Amongst our busy workload at the studio and quicky turning around last minute Christmas projects for clients, our amazing team came together to host and organize the event. We served homemade mulled wine, mince pies and ales with all proceeds going towards the charity.  Other members of the team were meeting and greeting and providing tours around the Old Laundry building, that is our studio. It was great to meet some new faces on the Margate creative scene too, it’s really inspiring to be a part of such a thriving arts community at the moment.

We were thrilled to have raised a total of £286. If you were unable to make it to our event and want to help the homeless in Kent this Christmas, you can still make a donation on the Thanet Winter Shelter Just Giving page.
