A+C Studios has come a long way…
The story began back in 2007 when A+C founder Dan Richards started the company in his dad’s garage – with little more than a box of Plasticine, a camera and a big vision.
Fast forward a couple of years and the company had found its feet. In 2009 our small but growing startup opened its first studio at a shipping container style unit in Whitstable. The space was far from perfect but it’s where we honed our craft and began to build our reputation as a hidden gem for animation production just outside the hustle and bustle of London.
In 2014 we made the move along the Kent coast to Margate, where a vibrant creative community was beginning to evolve around the newly established Turner Contemporary gallery. It was the perfect place to grow our team of animators, storytellers, technicians and makers. We found our home at The Old Laundry – a beautiful Victorian building which was once a school for girls. We’ve been here ever since, making use of its many high ceiling rooms to create three animation production studios, a model-making workshop, motion design studio and edit suite.
